Last night I stayed up till after 2 a.m. watching the full episode of “Lincoln Heights” that ABC Family has on its website as of this writing for free viewing.

Lincoln Heights is a drama causing a lot of drama — chiefly because us blacks get so excited to see ourselves in any capacity onscreen that we eat it up.
Basically, Eddie Sutton, a cop, moves his family to a “tough inner-city neighborhood” in Lincoln Heights, which for all my research I’m assuming is in Los Angeles. I saw hills and palm trees, so I surmise this is the Lincoln Heights section of LA?
Anyhoo, one of Eddie’s daughters, Cassie, must deal with moving to an unsafe neighborhood, and all the drama that will ensue as a result of her interracial relationship with a cute white boy named Charles in the season premiere episode of Lincoln Heights, which begins Tuesday, September 4th. (Watch the preview episode on ABC’s website as well.)
I saw the “Tricks and Treats” episode of Lincoln Heights online, where Dana, a prostitute and old girlfriends of Eddie’s moves into their home to avoid being killed by a psycho cop. (I thought that plotline was a little crazy, but I did like the dynamic between Eddie’s wife, Jenn, and his former girlfriend.)
By the way, those tricksters over at Wikipedia are causing a ruckus with their fake episode guide of Lincoln Heights saying Jenn is gonna die, then retracting it at the end.
All in all the new season of Lincoln Heights should be interesting as the interracial tension plays out, as well as the feedback as more people discover the drama — some thinking it a negative portrayal of inner city life and black men.
What do black men think? I ask.

Look for the download episodes on iTunes box, click it, then go thru the iTunes registration stuff (if you haven’t already) and get the first episode free. I went thru all that stuff and gave them my PayPal account and didn’t have to pay anything to download the first episode of Season 1, which I have paused right now ready to watch.
