They refuse to watch Tyler Perry's HOP. In questioning them, all they could offer for not watching the show is "it is stupid". When a talented man like Tyler Perry comes along I am all about supporting him. Unless he has his characters running around acting like bafoons then he has my support. I always liked the Carol Burnett show, but if Good Times, The Cosby Show or Fresh Prince came on Carol and crew took a back seat to my shows. I get upset with our race of people because they complain the "white man" is getting everything. When a talented person of the same race is trying to get ahead I am all for giving my support until I feel he/she doesn't deserve it and normally that is for reasons of being offended, or the product they are producing no longer holds my interest. I personally stopped reading books by white authors in support of my brothers and sisters who are great authors and produce great works of art through the books I love to read. I have also taken the time to email a few of them when a book comes along and holds my interest so much I can't seem to put it down. As I told my two good friends, I don't relate to Seinfeld and Friends. I have a problem with some commercials that come on and I don't see any other races of people being portrayed and yet they want us to go out and buy their product. So enough of my one sided ideas, my hat goes out to the Tyler Perry and author's like Vanessa Miller....keep on doing what you do. I tape all 4 episodes of Tyler's shows and watch them. I am proud to delete an episode from my list as I have seen it before. I love to laugh and find great pleasure in watching Curtis, Ella, CJ, Janine, Calvin, Malik, and Jazzy Jasmine cut up week after week. I bowl of laughter is certainly filled after watching this show. I look forward to many more episodes. Way to go TBS. You hit the mark on this one! I have talked with two of my good friends that have admitted to being advid watchers of Seinfeld and Friends. They refuse to watch Tyler Perry’s HOP. In questioning them, all they could offer for not watching the show is “it is stupid”.

I can’t for the life of me understand how our people will support other races who are merchants, watch shows like Seinfeld and Friends.

When a talented man like Tyler Perry comes along I am all about supporting him. Unless he has his characters running around acting like bafoons then he has my support.
