I grew up watching The Price is Right.

And I’m happy that Drew Carey landed the job as new host of The Price is Right game show, which has full and free episodes up to watch online.

My grandmother always watched the show daily, and since I spent a lot of time with her growing up, I watched a lot of Bob Barker and crazy contestants.

For years my GranRuby talked about the episode of The Price is Right where the black woman in the tube top was so excited to “come on down!” that she jogged right out of that tube top.

Legendary stuff.

And since Drew Carey is from these parts — Cleveland rocks! — I’m happy he’s got the gig, replacing the older man whose name just keeps cropping up in news reports with headlines that talk about sexual harassment.

Speaking of controversy, will Drew Carey’s new video touting the benefits of medical marijuana (and protesting the smoking ban in California) prove too much drama for the tame game show?
