Yesterday I watched the below Entertainment Tonight video of Bishop TD Jakes’ daughter, Sarah Jakes — now Sarah Henson – getting married at The Potter’s House.
Sarah Henson was so cute, looking just like Bishop TD Jakes and her mother, First Lady Serita Jakes, as Sarah talked about how Bishop TD Jakes picked out the wedding dress she wanted, plus the brides maids’ dresses and everything.

let me tell you guys something this is one of the largest media cover ups I have ever seen. first jakes had a huge diamond stud in his ear during the wedding and in the photo’s

Only a small minded shallow person would say such things. Like you I too saw the diamond stud in his ears but where in the world do you get the notion that an earring means he is gay. Many people may look at him differently after seeing him with an earring in his ear but does that mean that he is a totally different man than the one we see in the pulpit. I think it is high time we focus on the important things in life and not on the trivial. In closing I just want to say that for you to judge a man’s sexuality by an earring is pretty trifling to say the least.

all i have to say is that its sad when the leaders of the church go on television and publically humiliate Christand his work on the cross. the ear ring was an outward sign that its time to start praying for bishop td jakes. he is allowing self to control the decisions he makes in his life that iis supposed to be governed by God. be not conformed but be ye transformed. jakes has been conforming to this world by allowing any and evcerything to go on in a place that isfor worship and admoration of God. these are the end times, and its time for church goers to know Jesus for themselves and to develope a personal relationship with him so that they can recognize when the enemy is sneaking in trying to take over the church. but the devil is a lie and the true followers of Christ and his holy word need to take a stand and preach the truth of God. what jakes did is vconfuse the mind of the luke warm saints and cause doubt in those who really love the lord. well im here to say that what he is doing his apperance his messages his choices do nothing to bring glory to the kingdom of God so why is he doing it????? self nothing but self. his family and his self needs our prayers and that is what i will do.

the fact is that saints need to read II timothy 3:1-6
and you will see that its time to hold men and wemon of God to the way of God. I for one have no mercy for jakes or paul crouch or any other person that do nothing but raise money get rich and then get so much power that they can change the way people think in the church, the bible is true and i belive it 100% they must be leaders to the core and not play with the devil tools. you just cant say pray for them like its ok and just move on and when is it time for them to sit down and let god redeem them for the wrongs in the life they live. God is coming soon and the fact is he will judge and as jakes say get ready get ready or hell will be the final place for souls

You guys need to quit. Bishop Jakes felt like it was a special occasion and he put in an earring, so what? That does not make him gay. When you attend a special occasion you pull out your best jewelery, best clothes and even rent a car and nobody says that you are rich. You know you wanted to feel special and you spent your bill money to get that dress and that special suit for the occasion, knowing you don’t have the money. Do we judge that you are rich no, we judge that you want to show off. Leave the man of God alone and let him enjoy his daughter’s wedding. How do you know he is gay? Have you as a man slept with him. whatever is said, gay or not, the fact remains, if he is pointing to the cross in his preaching and teaching, let his character and actions be in conformity. Most people are baby christian, and need to be taught and guided how to crawl until the are matured to walk. I am not judging him nor his actions but what i am saying in essence is this, if his actions will lead people away from the reason for christianity let him refrain from doing it. For others who are matured christians, the bible should be the only reference point not a man, if it is not written in the bible, that means there is no basis. Let us stop be gullible and conforming to the worldview. It the bible that remains our manual and code of conduct book, If we follow the bible view to the end, even in our dealings in our daily and public lives, there is no way people will doubt our identity or judge or ways.

Let’s trust that any fixing needs to be done in other’s lives – He will do the fixing just like He does with us. Man if “men of God” judged us when we come in for counseling with our life issues the way we judge them we would never make it out of the gate, huh?

Am so saddened by all of this. No, an earring does not necessarily make Bishop Jakes gay. But I think it’s about more than that….If as a christian your actions will stumble another, the Bible instructs that you not do it. That’s basic christianity….so what’s up? Is the Bishop too big for the basics??? That’s not what the Bible meant when it said touch not the Lord’s annointed. If a man is wrong he is just wrong. Bishop or no Bishop. Personally, I expected better.

I do not think that it is wise or appropriate to try and tear down a man of God. The most important thing is that he is getting people to turn their lives over to God. Maybe we should all try doing the same instead of trying to put him down.

im reading the blogs and i am wondering, where in the world have you people been? living under a rock? since when does having an earing become a sign of the gay lifesyle? are you telling me that every athlete, politician, rapper, singer, r&b artist etc, that wears one is gay? Please! if you have any common sense, you would realize that an earring has become an acceptable cultural expression. it has no bearing or reveals any statement regarding someones sexual preference. again, i must emphasize it is a cultural thing, not a secret code for sexual preference.
secondly, i think that all of us have things that we wear, drive, live in, entertained by and participate in that could be considered “questionable” by other peoples standards. to be honest, it just depend on your background, exposure and sometimes what part of the country or the world you are from.
my feeling has always been this: jesus said, “by this shall all men know ye are my disciples, if you show love one toward another”
the sign of being a true christian would be revealed in how we treat one another, not by outward appearances. to be engaged in this kind of dialouge proves that we are more concerned with what men see, the outward, instead of the inward man of the heart. or at the very least, examining a persons fruit. grow up and wise up people. while we are debating his spirtutuallity because of his earing, my question is what have YOU accomplished for the kingdom without one? focus you energy on the real enemy, Satan, who is even now waging war against all of us! take a clue from the olympics: if one of us wins, we all win!

Has it not occured to you that Bishop may have been wearing the earing as an outward sign of support? His son-in-law has his ears pierced, Bishop is not silly, he steps outside his box and thinks how others think, have you not considerd that he deemed this an open declaration of support, his daughter has a tattoo, I am sure he did not agree with it, but he loves her all the same and so does the Lord. There comes a time when we need to stop pulling down God’s people and build them up. Yes he wore and earing, then it disappeared, so what? Who are we, let us pray for the men and women of God, if they are walking in the integrity of God, wonderful, if not, our prayers should be asking God to make their crooked paths straight. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling and stop relying on TV people to guide you, rely on the Lord, for HE is THE author and finisher of our faith, not TD Jakes, nor Juanita, Nor Paula, none of them, it is the Lord Strong and mighty, when the Israelites were fighting the Amelakites Moses hands became tired, the would lose but when Aaron and Nun held them up Israel prevailed and so we should be with our church leaders, help them, not condem them. That is for the Christians, If you are not in the Church, well – come out of that and come inna this!

I remember when bishop jakes preached at united evangelistic church in philadelphia over 15 years ago. he wore a tight, shinny suit and needed a haircut. nevertheless he preached with the anointing of God. He now, by God’s grace is able to afford a diamond earring. can we say that the same anointing is stii with him? yes we can. so SHUT UP and pray for him.

I remember over 15 years ago when Bishop preached at United Evangelistic Church in Philadelphia. He had on a tight shiny suit and needed a haircut. Nevertheless, this man preached under the anointing of God. God has prospered him and he decides to wear a diamong earring at his daughters wedding. Now what is the big deal? He still is an anointed man of God. If you see him as a homosexual then pray for him.

It is really sad that some people spend quality time buidling up negative things to say. Time that can never be recaptured, But will not spend ten minutes praying, reading God’s word or even lostening to God’s word. Huh. Wonder how God feels about everything being said here. He is the ultimate judge. Wander how would he judge this conversation. Lord forgive us for our sinful hearts. Please bring us closer to you so we can only spend time focusing on you. we should all be on our knees praying to God for our families and this earth we are destroying. why should anyone worry about who wears what? if someone is gay or not? how someone’s marriage is? is it our business?
