So SNL’s skit with some New York Times would-be reporters seems to have taken the joke too far in dissing Sarah Palin’s husband, Todd.
In the September 20, 2008 SNL episode with James Franco, SNL did a skit whereby a New York Times reporter said something like, “You know he’s doing his daughter — I mean, come on, this is Alaska!”
Well that little SNL incest joke about the Palin family doesn’t seem like it’s going over too well. And of course SNL doesn’t have that video up on their Hulu site, and it’s been pulled from YouTube.
But you can find the whole SNL episode online here for only $1.99 to watch online and see the mess yourself:

Personally, I turned off SNL after the opening scenes. There was that McCain video that was okay, but the cougars Cameron Diaz thing is getting tired…

To All of the decision makers including of Saturday Night Live, G.E. and all of the Advertisers that obviously agree with all of the crap that Loren Michaels is allowed to put on the public airways. Mr. Michaels obviously you practice what you preach. I would never, ever think of having incest with my children. But I’m curious to know over the last 30 years how many times did you have incest with your children. If you think it’s so funny why don’t you do the next monalog and tell the world what a sick bastard that you obviously are. I’m ashamed that I have ever watched your show and I’m just sorry that you will never have to pay for your actions. I just hope that I live long enough for to have your personal critical illness like Katie Couric’s who met his maker. I hope that from the time you come down with your illness, I hope and pray that you have many, many years living like Christopher Reeve.

Ira’s right! Some tasteless humor should be killed at the rehearsal and not used as an excuse for personal attacks.

Wow. I watched this sketch when it aired and thought it was hilarious. It was obviously making fun of the reporters and not once did it actually seriously comment on Palin. I bet most of the people who are outraged about this haven’t seen the joke in its actual context.
