She Left Me for Jesus Song Making Google Trends — Blasphemous at Best…

Okay, I hadn’t heard of the country-twanging song “She Left Me for Jesus” till I saw it today on Google Trends. So I found the below “She Left Me for Jesus” video and listened to the whole song.

I really hope Hayes Carll’s “She Left Me for Jesus” is based on a real girl who left him for Jesus, and left the whiskey behind, too.

And I more than that fervently beseech God to give Hayes Carll a nightmare even scarier than the one He gave me when I wrote a blasphemous book. In the nightmare, satan smiled at me because I was doing his work. That was the day I turned 30, no more messing around.

The Lord led me to throw the remaining books away — I did a couple of days later, on Easter Monday — and we soon thereafter got a great offer on the house we were trying to sell, sold it and moved on.

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Here’s praying Hayes Carll can leave this song behind for Jesus Christ, Savior of the World:
