Prince Talks About Becoming Jehovah Witness, Gay Marriage, Abortion, Bible in New YorkerSo I learned about The New Yorker interview with Prince from Perez Hilton, who was probably incensed about Prince’s answer regarding gay marriage and abortion and such: That God came down and us humans were doing crazy stuff, and that He had to set us straight.

I was most fascinated finding out that Larry Graham (the “One in a million you…” deep-voiced singer?) turned Prince on to his 7-years-and-counting Jehovah’s Witness faith and Kingdom Hall encountering.

My Aunt and Uncle are Jehovah’s Witnesses…

…like Prince, and my uncle was so happy and watching Prince’s concerts on TV after Prince converted.

I’m Christian — and I don’t talk about faith a whole lot with my aunt and uncle, but their Scriptures sound awfully familiar to the ones in the “regular” NIV, NASB and King James’ Bible. In fact, some witnesses I talked to that came to my door had the NIV version — or told me they did.

So my question is: What’s the real difference? I understand not wanting to celebrate pagan holidays and such.

But do Jehovah’s Witnesses believe in John 3:16 and pivotal verses of the Bible saying that Jesus Christ is our sole savior?

I really want to know…

Thanks for your comments. Amen.
