Oprah Palin Controversy: Sarah Palin on Oprah? Not Now, Says Oprah … Saying Sarah Palin Can Come After the Election is Over…
Oprah has just lost even more cool points in my eyes after saying Sarah Palin can come on her show only after the election is over.
Yeah — I’m an Obama fan, but Oprah didn’t wait till after the election to have Barack on! Granted, Oprah can have whomever she wants on her show — Palin or no Palin, but methinks the Sarah Palin threat to Oprah lies deeper…
SARAH PALIN’S PRESENCE WOULD THREATEN OPRAH’S SOUL…
…which is already in danger — just look at the more than 7.7 million people who watched the below “Church of Oprah” YouTube video.
My Christian friends and I have noticed just how much Oprah eschews some others like Sarah Palin who might just bring up Jesus — and not in a New Age-y, all-roads-lead-to-God-lie-of-a-way that Op-dog seems comfy with these days.
Oprah said “What about Jesus? There couldn’t possibly be one way to [God].” Oprah 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

I think you nailed it. She’s also partisan but I agree that Christ and not the New Age Matrieya Christ but the Christ of the Bible is not welcome on Oprah’s show.

how do i get a list of oprah sponcers to boucot
September 5th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
She has lost me as a fan and a viewer. Her money has gone to her head and now she is using it to endorse a candidate and not enlighten her audience. And the Jesus thing….. What’s sad is that WE made her what she is (or has).

She has ALWAYS been a racist and always will be. Watch a shgow or two

I am tired of her obvious bias and selfishness.
This is my thought…
Avoid her show. Avoid her sponsors.
Oprah…hear this and hear it good
CLICK.
September 6th, 2008 at 6:58 am
I believe Target is one of her sponsors.
At some point, I’m sure a list of her major sponsors will start floating around. We should all make a point of listing them. Lots of sales going on right now…you don’t have to shop at the places that sponsor Queen Oprah.
September 6th, 2008 at 7:52 am
Finally! It has taken this long for media bias to be exposed.
This is just the beginning of Oprah losing credibility on the national scene. Hey, a few years back when she was so proud that all the major catagory winners at the Oscars were black people, we all celebrated with her and them. Enough though. The whole Barack thing just shows that it seems Oprah is now more about promoting race than supporting democracy in a fair light.
Shame on you Oprah- you just lost me as a viewer (and my tennis group, family member, school moms and neighbors) if you don’t have Sarah Palin on within the next month.
Fear… of the truth or of the results of the truth?
September 6th, 2008 at 12:25 pm
If Oprah is smarter than she is biased, she will have Sarah Palin on her show, but I don’t really care because Oprah is just a big bag of racist wind as far as I’m concerned. She is proving it more everyday.
September 6th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
Oprah, I am more interested in having Gov. Palin as a guest on your show than Obama. Palin is a real woman politician and she has a great story to tell…a successful working mother, raising a child with Down’s Syndrome, her support of her pregnant teenage daughter are of great interest to me. You are doing your viewers a disservice. I thought you of all people would want her as a guest on your show. Not to have her as a guest appears to me as a snub at best. I thought of all people you would not play such games with your audience. Frankly, I am thinking about your position on all things and maybe I should not be concerned with what you think and switch the channel.
September 6th, 2008 at 9:39 pm
Thanks Oprah once again for showing superior judgement. People like Palin are sick and we all know it. I have a ton of friends that moved here from other countrys believing Americans were so smart. They are all now asking how Trash like G. Bush and Palin could even have a voice in a country of intelligent people. Obviously my friends have not visited the heartland. Well I have. I can tell you that middle America is full of trailer trash. Thank GOD for Oprah.

I’m so glad that Oprah is smart, rich, and successful. She could leave her show tomorrow and be just fine. She can pursue whatever she wants in this world, and that includes her new-age spirituality. She doesn’t need to accept the racist and hateful attitudes flooding her way. She can thumb her nose at you. If I were Oprah, I would do just that — you are narrow-minded and prejudiced. You call yourselves Christians? Maybe you should go back to the Bible and reread the life of Jesus. Try comprehending what you read this time. Your behavior is so unChristian! After I post this message, I am shutting down my computer. You don’t deserve an audience. This is one site I will never visit again.

How long will it be before Oprah reveals her true self and ” comes out of the closet ” . Her ” beard ” is starting to grow thin and we are beginning to see through it !
September 7th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
Oprah will begin to loose viewers who are truly finding out that she is one sided and THINKS she pulls the strings of middle America. I stopped watching her years ago and I am sure some of her kool-aid drinking viewers will get a clear vision once they realize how one-sided, racist and selfish she really is. I hope she super-glues those fake eyelashes on in November because she will be crying her eyelashes off when Nobama looses the election. On that day I hope the rest of America wakes up to see who she really is and turns off OPRAH!!! I hope Palin refuses an invitation to appear on the show if offered…Palin DOES NOT need Oprah. Strong minded, free to make their own choice, don’t need Oprah women will speak for themselves and vote McCain/Palin ‘08!

People, people, people. When I read some of the posts here, I just laugh at the silliness of people. Not one of you who are going to stop watching Oprah hurts her in any way. Not one of you who is going to boycott her supporters will make a dent in her finances. Oprah can take every word and thought that you are trying to use against her and make millions. Way to go Oprah for standing for what you believe. You don’t have to answer to those who are clearly jealous of your influence and power. All of you, PLEASE GET A LIFE and stop thinking that anyone cares what you think or feel.
September 8th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
you have to be the most egotistical person. you only have the wanna-be president (obama) on before but cannot allow the same curtosy to the future V.P. Palin. Never liked you befor and really think you think your ass walks on water.
get over yoursel oprah. If I had not already decided prior to your racism..you made the choice easy
September 9th, 2008 at 10:28 am
I am not black or white. My sister use to watch Oprah. My sister notice something about Oprah and said to me that Oprah is a hidden racist. I am not sure how my sister come to this conclusion, I strongly believe that Oprah is a hidden racist!!! OPRAH IS A RACIST!!!

I can’t beleive how many ignorant people there are on this post…people read, verify your facts before you jump and beleive everything they have you beleive. Oprah took the stand not to cover the election because she had already expressed that she supported Obama and decided not to have anyone on because she does not want to be bias…That is integrity, which is so lacking in your party…She inteviewed Obama twice but it was way before he even announced he was running. If she took a stand that she was not going to cover the election why should she make an exception for Sarah Palin…isn’t that reverse sexism…AND GUESS WHAT YOU CAN BOYCOTT ALL YOU WANT BUT OPRAH DOES NOT NEED YOU…..This is another gimick to have you all beleive that the media is against Sarah, when they are the ones who are sexist towards her…if they beleived she was so qualified why do they have to hide her from interviewers and make up false rumors…the only interview she is doing is rehearsed, taped and with questions they scripted…bravo Gibson, what integrity to give up your right to ask the right questions…please people wake up…this is the same ignorance that got us into the Iraq war and this mess of an economy…it is people like you who don’t question anything just follow whatever you are told…and the saddest part is that you are using religion and the name of Jesus christ to justify your ignorant, racist and judgmental ways…God is about love and compassion and understanding…you are following a cult so please stop using christianity to justify your ignorance…I am so disgusted….Ignorance is the passport to evil….read your history…

OH gees. Honestly sometimes we people outside the United States observe what is happening from afar and it is nothing but comic relief to our eyes and ears. So, the most powerful woman in the world according to some has her position threatened by who? Sarah Palin? Come on Americans. Please stop it with the childishness of this election. We admire your country and the people that you are but please….we beg you… Stop!!! Sarah Palin is not even as powerful as Angelina Jolie nor Hillary Clinton by our eyes. She is far more likely than Obama to be a one hit wonder if she lost in her VP bid. And I’m sure you all know this. I mean it’s not like she could one day fly to Europe and address an audience of about ummm 200 000. But moving on…….
On Oprah’s refusal to interview her at this time : Obviously whoever started this nonsense must not know that the interview with Obama took place long before he made his announcement to join the race. And her reason for interviewing him? But of course, they are Chicago residents and Oprah took notice of the work he does in Chicago especially after that speech at the 2004 DNC.
On the “Let’s Boycott Oprah” foolishness : Yes I said and I will say it again. it’s plain old foolishness based on an obsession. Please….You couldn’t boycott Oprah even if you wanted to. I mean…did I mention that she is the most powerful woman, not just in the United States but in the world? She is arguably as influential as the president or the pope. Oops…..maybe let me not say “pope” or else someone in this blog will liken that to trying to make Oprah some kind of a divine being.
And what the hell is this obsession with turning celebrities into politicians and politicians into celebrities?
Please do not allow your media to puppet you all so easily because it looks like that’s what it is doing to all of you (myself included, somewhat) as you contribute to this blog.

Good for Oprah, Palin is disgusting, and worthy of this countries contempt to the highest degree. I loathe her, and if you consider your self a patriot, and aren’t ignorant, you would agree. Do some research on her, and come back.
September 16th, 2008 at 6:15 pm
My oh my. What is Oprah afraid of? Is she afraid that Sarah Palin might outshine her bud Obama?
September 17th, 2008 at 2:31 am
The fact that many of you chose to call Oprah racist is hilarious. She is an African American woman raised in our America and has never apologized for that. That didn’t seem to matter as mainstream white America helped her rise to mega popularity and fame. The problem I have with us Americans is that we forget that our beloved celebrities are still human and have a right to their own opinions. I also find it strange that many that have posted on this blog call Oprah racist when most of her topics, guests, dearest friends, and give aways are tailored towards the likes of mainstream white america. Did your conservative heart have a problem with her when she showed what a day in your life was like to the world and the world fell in love with her?
To me Oprah is entitled to her opinions and the option to use her judgement. Since she knows that she is a public Obama supporter I believe it would be a conflict of interest at this crucial time in the election process to invite Palin on the show. Perhaps Oprah would like to interview Sarah Palin but would also like to not turn her back on what she stood up for and believes in? Sarah Palin can do some serious interviews, The View, SNL, and all the other late shows just like the other candidates until Senator McCain wins.
Personally, I only watch Oprah when I feel the topic of her show is positive, informative, and will be helpful in my daily life. I choose not to watch when she has some of her celebrity friends on or does her “Oprah’s Favorite Things” shows. Those shows make me sick on the stomach!
I find her programming to be mostly positive. What puzzles me is if you are touched by many of her messages and examples to be a light of inspiration in someone’s life by giving of yourself…how can you call yourself a true fan if you would squabble and boycott all of your “Favorite” places to shop over one potential guest? People wake up and stop pointing fingers…did anyone of you or your tennis club members do anything to let our current President know how hurt and ashamed we are as American people with FEMA’s mismanagement of Hurricane Katrina? How racist and petty you are to complain about one guest when many of you have probably done absolutely nothing to help out those families nor speak out against our President to let him know how we as Americans will not tolerate the blatant lack of compassion our current adminsitration showed (the WORLD) during those times.
This is what drives minorities crazy about white America. You are quick to point fingers but never see the other three fingers that point right back at you. Does it make you racist if you did nothing to help the minority Katrina victims or press to have President Bush removed from office because of the mismanagement?
Oprah may show bias as many of us do but I don’t believe she is racist. She’s shown far too much bias to mainstream America for that to be the case.

@ Paul: “Good for Oprah, Palin is disgusting, and worthy of this countries contempt to the highest degree. I loathe her, and if you consider your self a patriot, and aren’t ignorant, you would agree. Do some research on her, and come back.” I see you have zero facts here, you have alluded to no research that exists. You are what I loathe, a pathetic narrow minded, intellectually challenged liberal. You spew your vitriol about a person you know nothing about and allude to some “research” that would substantiate your view. I like to talk from facts. Like Obama spent 20 years being mentored by Reverend Wright, he considered him family until it was no longer politically expedient to do so. In my book that makes Senator and Mrs. Obama racist bigots just like Wright, they obviously believe and condone it as they stayed there 20 yrs. Oprah went to the church and endorses Obama so the stink sticks on her too. Then there is her Hermes outburst where she thought she should get preferential treatment by the “little people” be cause she is the first O!
@ CJ: Your fundamental error is your Bush Derangement Syndrome. The people of the United States had a tremendous outpouring for the victims of Katrina. Most of the problems there were caused by the corrupt and mentally challenged democrats in charge and the racist mayor Nagin. Him and his “Chocolate City” racism cuts all ways and is vile regardless of who it comes from. Why would I have the President removed based on a natural disaster, that is your instability talking! I guess we could press for the removal of the less than intelligent that would rebuild in a hole located in a known hurricane zone! But I see you live in Florida so the brilliance of not living in a hurricane zone is obviously lost on you! The people of America did great things for the victims of Katrina, it whiners like you that want the government to wipe your tail section for you that have a complaint.

this sort of thing is exactly what was wrong with America, religion, the church and the world. To the people who put this garbage out there(the Oprah haters) please get a life, go find something constructive to do, spend quiet time and check yourselves and stop trying to brainwash innocent and ignorant people…your behavior is actually very far from Christ-like. To the sensible people…”I thank God for you all”. Thanks to you the sensible folks, there is hope for America and the world,
