Barack Obama’s Prayer Note Published in Israeli Paper…

You had to know Barack Obama’s prayer note would be published. When I saw the pics of Barack Obama at the Western Wall, it reminded me of the great and pensive photo of my friend’s husband at the same wall, head covered, his arms splayed against the wall in prayer.


It still makes me want to go tuck a prayer note into the wall like he did, like Obama did, but I’m sure they won’t grab my prayer note and publish it like the Maariv newspaper did.


I searched Google’s excellent most recently indexed pages of the Maariv to find the actual article showing the pic of Barack Obama’s prayer note listed above, that said:

“Lord — Protect my family and me,” reads the note published in the Maariv daily. “Forgive me my sins, and help me guard against pride and despair. Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just. And make me an instrument of your will.”

Of course, Barack Obama’s prayer note becoming public just makes people love him more for relying on God — and I’m sure the handwriting experts will have a field day with Obama’s prayer note — plus, you know Barack Obama is too smart to help publish personal info in a prayer note that he knew would be grabbed the second he walked away…
