It’s SNL’s last show before Election Day — it’s the Saturday Night Live show from November 1, 2008. The internet scuttlebutt was that Barack Obama would appear on the SNL November 1, 2008, show, John McCain showed up, standing next to Tina Fey as Sarah Palin — and Cindy McCain was there too.

What did SNL do on 11/01/08? John McCain opened standing next to “rogue” Gov. Sarah Palin (really Tina Fey, of course) and Cindy McCain even appeared on that “QVC” segment, with the premise being that McCain could only afford QVC to pitch himself, not buy a half-hour on three networks like Barack Obama did.



The funniest and saddest McCain on SNL moment…

…was the Weekend Update portion, where McCain pleading, “Come on, Obama’s got plenty of chances left to be President — vote for me!”


Almost makes you feel sad for him.
