Michelle Obama’s Dress – Here’s Michelle Obama’s Election Night Dress – Fashion by Narciso Rodriguez…
Michelle Obama’s Election Night dress is already causing buzz. I caught a glimpse of Michelle Obama’s election night dress, and its sleeveless part that showed off a part of her arm as she waved — and didn’t think that Michelle Obama’s election night dress would cause the buzz that it’s causing today.
But it makes sense — to own Michelle Obama’s election night dress, or at least our own version by fashion designer Narcisco Rodriguez would be like owning a part of living history. (Think of how the women in Jackie O’s time emulated her fashion.)
Despite the hubbub and backlash, I think Michelle Obama’s dress is pretty cute. It would look good on me because we’re the same height.

Where can you buy Michelle Obama’s election night dress?
For I’m sure Michelle Obama’s election night dress will sell even better than that black and white store dress she wore on The View.
Just digging around, I’ve found the Narcisco Rodriguez collection on Berdorf Goodman, and more here at Neiman Marcus, but I’m still looking for the specific dress Michelle Obama wore.
I also see that Michelle Obama’s dress was part of Narcisco Rodriguez’ Spring 2009 Ready to Wear collection, and seeing as though I’ve never purchased a pret-a-porte dress — that I can think of — I want to know how to find this dress.
Leave a comment with a link wherever you see it for sale online, please! Thanks…

The Dress is Spring 2009 so it won’t be in stores until late this Winter

Thought it would make a fine dress for a cocktail party sans the cardigan but major faux pas for an election night choice. Until last night, I thought Michelle’s choices were fab. My vote for great election night wear goes to Cindy McCain… but not my vote for President.

Sorry, but with the cardi, looks like a leftover Black Widow halloween costume.

THE RNC NEED TO IMMEDIATELY DONATE SARAH’S CLOTHES TO MICHELLE JUST TO SAVE OUR NATIONAL IMAGE. THIS WOULD BE THE KINDEST ACT OF CHARITY! MICHELLE NEEDS A NEW DESIGNER, ONE WITH AT THE VERY LEAST AN IDEA OF ACCEPTABLE FASHION FOR A PUBLIC PERSONA. GOD HELP US IF WE HAVE FOUR YEARS OF MICHELLE’S FASHION NIGHTMARES.

That dress is dreadful!

Michelle needs to get a new fashion designer. The first lady of the United States needed to go shopping with Sarah Palin or better yet…Cindy McCain before election night. I couldn’t believe that they let her walk out on stage looking like she was ready to hit the bar scene on Halloween. I think it’s time for Michelle to get a total makeover and I am sure that Oprah would be happy to arrange that for her.

What the heck was she wearing? It looked like something she should of worn Oct 31st to go trick or treating in. Put on a hat and you got a witch. I’m pretty bold in fashion and know the industry. But really? I still cannot figure out the red fabric.

CONGRATULATIONS United States of America on electing
our 1st Black President. A historic and amazing time in history.
She usually makes decent choices, and I know that as she improves her image, and as the years go on, she will sharpen her image even more.
As far as her dress last night. Here’s the problem, I felt it was too distracting, and upstaged her family. Although she looked stunning, and her family was absolutely glowing, her choice in dress was off. I do not know who approved this dress, but it was waaay too much. At the end of the day-the dress does not make a woman, a woman makes a dress.

someone puleez get Michele Obama a guest appearance on ‘What Not to Wear’….That dress was simply horrible! It made her look twice her size..then throw on a funky sweater…if she travels to Europe, she’s toasst

I also thought it was a poor choice. I couldn’t even tell what it was when she first came out An apron? A black widow spider? A blur from the lights?
Maybe it looks better in real life, but it didn’t on television. I should have been looking at faces, instead I was too distracted by it and it took attention away from where it should be. That means it was a poor choice.
Dress well and the notice the woman, dress poorly and they notice the dress.

I thought Michelle’s dress was interesting in that her daughters wore solid red and solid black and hers was a combination. Interesting choice. The dress was a little busy, but I thought may be more symbolic.

Are the earrings she wearing Lia Sophia? (unwind)

I’m just tickled to see the whole family theme-dressing in all red and black, two serious power colors. Cool. Fun. Together. On a really big night. I LIKE THEM.

She looks like a black widow spider

That dress was horrendous! It did nothing for her and looked like a “train wreck”.

Snap out of it America! Stop listening to CNN and Fox (look at who owns these networks…look deep at who owns them) and start researching this mans friends and look at who is behind him. (who is funding his campaign and his internet campaign) We have been taken in by a huge marketing scam, glossed with a logo, a slogan and embedded with hidden dangerous intentions. I am a Democrat and I am mad as fire. The colors last night were symbolic! His marketing campaign really showed American their true colors last night and still millions cheered. This is not rocket science if you know anything at all about marketing. And using color is the oldest trick in the book. Power colors…yea you got that right..
but not the kind of power that is going to help America.
Obama is bi racial not full blooded African American. My best friend is black…and the blacks supporting Obama is not what bothers me at all (except for Wright I don’t agree with his sermons on hating America) but nothing is as bad as his friends that have ties to terrorist. America….blacks and whites must truly come to understand what it is we are dealing with and do YOUR RESEARCH. “A new American leadership is at hand…more like a new American leadership is Iran” Think people…do your research….then connect the dots.

Rebecca, you sound very much like a (poor) loser. Your anger and hateful words reveal your own fears which you expect others to embrace. Obviously, we have refused to be manipulated by fear and racism. Why is the fact that he is bi-racial vs. “full-blooded African American” of such importance? Actually, if you think about it, he IS both African and American.
Sounds as though you might want to get a life and develop some really positive activities to occupy your time.

Obama is what he is a black American. What does being “all” black mean anyways? Black Americans are bi-racial, and multi-racial, not one particular race. In this country we all are what we are, Americans, no matter the color of our skins.

Her dress was horrible. Very poor choice.
November 6th, 2008 at 10:25 am
With all the money and designers at her disposal she still has no class. Black and red? There is a hidden message there.

Seriously, who cares about her dress!!!
Listen: Michelle Obama graduated from Princeton U and Harvard Law School. She is a lawyer & worked at the law firm Sidley Austin. She held public sector positions in the Chicago city government; Assistant to the Mayor & Assistant Commissioner of Development. She was Executive Director for the Chicago office of Public Allies, setting long-standing fund raising records.
Let’s just ignore all of the above and discuss the important things; like her dress! This is pathetic. Way to downplay all of her achievements by talking about her clothing.

I agree with those that criticized her choice of dress for the election night celebration….It was too showy and cheap looking and I felt, out of character, from the rest of her wardrobe. It was bad advice from someone!!!I think when she looks at the pictures, she will realize that. She is no dummy. I look forward to better choices from a new advisor once they are in DC…Palin wore her “donated clothes very well. But I’ll take Michelle’s poor choices over the McCain/Palin ticket any day…

I think the dress is great!!! They all look great… together! Look at them together… it’s an art piece. What a nice way to celebrate.
