Was that Mayte on Army Wives? That’s what I just asked myself, finishing up watching my TiVo’d latest episode of Army Wives and saw next week’s promo.


Yep, turns out Mayte is signed up for a three-show stint (I’ll bet you it’ll turn into a permanent role, I’m hoping) on Army Wives.


Mayte Garcia is the famous ex-wife of Prince — who so joyously carried his baby, and then tragically lost the baby Gregory at birth. “She Gave Her Angels Away” is a song that nearly brings tears to my eyes, as Prince sang about the incident, wherein Mayte said she sent her angels off to be with her newborn song soon after his death.


And then Mayte hooked up with Tommy Lee, such a step down, Prince fan that I am believed, from the Artist himself.
