TMZ is reporting that Maya Rudolph will play Michelle Obama on SNL’s show on Saturday, October 25, 2008.
And here’s the video of Maya Rudolph as Michelle Obama from SNL:
How to watch Maya Rudolph play Michelle Obama online?
To watch Maya Rudolph as Michelle Obama online, check the “recently added” tab on Hulu’s SNL page — which usually doesn’t update till a few hours after the show airs on TV.
Or check Google video searches here for “Maya Rudolph” “Michelle Obama” or “SNL October 25, 2008″ — but I’m warning you, YouTube must have an auto-remove script for SNL and Saturday Night Live videos uploaded to YouTube because they pulled them down fast as the dickens last week when Amy Poehler’s first rap played. NBC pulled their YouTube channel because they’ve got the Hulu deal and such.
Thirdly, check The Huffington Post, because last week they were the first ones to get the Palin SNL rap video up.
Amy Poehler’s Second Rap SNL Video Should be Hilarious — I hope…
Joining Maya Rudolph as Michelle Obama will be Amy Poehler, back with her second rap song from the Bronx brigade or whatever they are called.
Maya Rudolph is playing Michelle Obama?
That’s what my husband just asked, incredulous, saying “but [Maya Rudolph's] so light.”
“You know they always have her playing black women,” I said about Maya Rudolph, who is black, actually, whom I’m picturing may have darker make-up on to play Michelle Obama.
Either way, it’ll probably be great. I love Maya Rudolph, daughter of the amazing Minnie Riperton, a black woman who died of cancer at 31, when Maya was only 7 years old.
She died in the arms of Maya’s Jewish father named Richard Rudolph, whom I believe I’ve grabbed a screen-shot of here.
I remember some of these pictures, definitely the album cover pictured above, when I was a little girl.
It was maybe my first inkling that a black women could marry a white man.
But Minnie Riperton’s high octaves and beauty are what most people remember — a gift to this world straight from God.
I wish this were the version of “Lovin’ You” that shows Minnie Riperton, Maya’s mom, singing “Maya, Maya, Maya, Maya” at the end — but it can bring tears to your heart just the same for its beauty:
