The Golden Compass controversy (watch the movie trailer here) is this: Author Philip Pullman has made it clear that his books are about “killing God.”

So, the Golden Compass controversy that Yahoo says is hitting a fever pitch because the movie is opening soon is neither here nor there for me.

I’ll naturally boycott the Golden Compass due to the controversy, and also because it just doesn’t interest me.

I’d rather wait for the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie.

This whole thing reminds me of that Bible verse I’m looking for, the one where guys were talking about the new Christianity that was emerging.

They said, if this thing ain’t from God, it will die.

But if it’s not, we can’t stop it…

The Golden Compass controversy will die along with the movie. Eventually.
