Watch Debra Winger on The View on Monday, June 9, 2008 – Talking about her new book…

Debra Winger was on The View today, talking about her new book, called Undiscovered, which Debra Winger made sure to correct Whoopi on The View’s categorization of the book as an autobiography.

The View also showed a good clip of Debra Winger in Urban Cowboy with John Travolta — and talked about why Winger followed her future passions of doing something different than acting.

As you probably just saw, The View pulled a clip from Debra Winger’s scene wtih Richard Gere in An Officer and A Gentleman.

“Am I gonna die?” Debra Winger asked on The View, making me laugh as they switched to a scene of her on her death bed in Terms of Endearment — ironically.

Winger refused to dish about whether or not she didn’t get along with Shirley McClaine. But that would’ve worked perfectly for their rambunctious mother/daughter relationship in that fine film.
