Bigger Stronger Faster is a new documentary movie I saw video of on CBS Sunday Morning.

Bigger Stronger Faster Steroid Use…

Bigger Stronger Faster examines steroid use and was a popular film at the 2008 Sundance Festival.

It’s by Chris Bell, a guy whose brothers are big and in deep into steroid use as weight lifters.

Chris Bell stopped juicing himself because he felt guilty and decided to follow his filmmaking aspirations instead of the total gym-head stuff.

The Bigger Stronger Faster piece on CBS talked about how steroid abuse can shrink your testes, coagulate your blood and ruin your heart — and let’s not forget the crazy rageful state that steroid use reportedly sent Chris Benoit into to kill his family and himself.

So they can be harmful.

Black Entertainers Using Steroids?

And what’s up with the recent reports of Mary J. Blige (who’s denied using any steroids) or Tyler Perry (no comment from his rep according to Jet, and don’t see anything about steroids yet on TylerPerry.com), Dr. Dre (okay, this is just me and a lot of other people’s speculation after seeing how ripped he is lately) or 50 Cent taking steroids?

Is that a lie or the truth?

I’m all for looking better at the gym — but I’ve decided that I’ll put on as much natural muscle as I can.

Not with extra testosterone that I don’t need.

But the CBS Sunday morning report stated that they’re going to start testing high school athletes randomly for steroid use — and that a good percentage of high school students said steroids are easy for them to obtain.

The bigger, stronger, faster steroid question…

Video clips of the Bigger Stronger Faster movie had me thinking about steroid use and whether or not they should just legalize it for every purpose.

But when they showed the death of Lyle Alzado — a popular athlete in the ’70s who died of a brain tumor he believed was related to steroid abuse, I thought again.

It’s good for steroids to be used for their intended purposes: to help AIDS and cancer and other afflicted patients.

But to be used in sports?

I guess that is cheating. Especially if you’re competing against folks who aren’t using steroids to enhance their performances.

And I think Roger Clemens is guilty. His 60 Minutes interview just screamed, “I’m lying!” to me in how defensive he was.

I think he’s just scared to face the music and possible jail time like Marion Jones is serving.

Anyway, Bigger Stronger Faster should be the hit of the decade.

As big and exposing as Fahrenheit 9/11 — but more a lot more truthful.
