»»»»»»»» Barry Blitt – New Yorker Magazine Barack Obama Cover Artist Says He Doesn’t Think Obama is a Terrorist…
You’ve seen the controversial New Yorker Magazine Obama Muslim terrorist cover artwork, now meet the man who sketched the controversial New Yorker Magazine Obama Muslim terrorist cover artwork.
His name is Barry Blitt, and he’s probably so busy sketching in some picturesque New Hampshire location (okay, that’s my writer’s imagination kicking in) that Barry Blitt didn’t have time to update his website.
Retrospect? Outcry?” Barry Blitt wrote about his controversial Barack Obama cover on The New Yorker Magainze. “The magazine just came out ten minutes ago, at least give me a few days to decide whether to regret it or not…”
Ah…welcome to the lightning fast Internet age, sketcher man.
At least he doesn’t believe the Obamas are really terrorists. Barry Blitt naturally assumed people would get the parody of it all. I’m betting they’ll pull that cover…
Like I emailed Barry Blitt that got promptly returned due to unavailable service (read: tons of angry, cussing emails — or scary Neo Nazi congratulatory emails):
Don’t fret, Barry…this too shall pass.

The cover is awful. So what is Barry going to do next cover, show John McCain as a Vietnamese torturer or dress him up like Usama Ben Laden?
I am a McCain supporter, but I think this cover is a cheap shot, mainly because the country is still so sentive to Obama’s image. If it was jsut him it’s probably palatable, but you added his wife looking like a terrorist? Where is the satire about her being a terrorist?
I don’t like cheap shots about wives regardless of whether I am voting for the candidate or not.
Barry Blitt, you have lost my respect, and I usually like your work.
